"Ignore the haters", right?
Wrong.
Your online reputation is what will get you customers or chase them away.
Ignoring a negative review or nasty comment (unless it's literally a random person with a negative agenda... yes, some people will hate on you for absolutely no reason at all), will actually hurt your business.
So how can you create a good reputation and the know-like-trust factor with your audience online?
Post reviews and testimonials on your page. Did you know that 95% of consumers read reviews when considering a purchase? (Learning Hub). I can say from experience that showcasing happy customers will establish credibility and encourage others to buy from you too.
Respond to any negative review or comment by contacting the person first to address the problem they had with you. Be extremely professional and civil.
Respond to everyone. Every comment, DM, mention, everything. Not only does this boost engagement, it also builds your relationship with that person. Plainly, it's good customer service.
Go above and beyond for your customers. Whether you like it or not, people talk. This can make or break your business! A referral can do wonders for you, so be sure to take good care of your community.
Be a good human. Be positive and encouraging, provide value, and be kind. It may be easy to hide behind that screen of yours, but there are real people on the other end, just like you.
