When I was young, my parents started a small business called RiseUp. My dad runs this business full-time. I started working for him when I was twelve, doing light tasks like organizing the office or doing research online. I listened to him interact with customers and vendors through phone calls or by sitting in on meetings. The one thing you should know about my dad is that he is a PEOPLE-PERSON. To the max. Everywhere we go, he knows someone and makes a new friend while we're there. He's not the suit-and-tie, fancy dinner and strictly business type. He's the jeans and a quarter-zip, coffee chat about life plus a bit of business, there for you on his day off type.
I grew up watching my dad connect with people and treat his business connections like they were friends until, really, they became friends. He would tell me how important it is to serve people and to deliver exceptional work to customers because it was about more than just the product.
These values of relationship building and service were instilled in me at a young age and are a huge part of my personality and the way I do business today. They are part of the foundations of HKVA and I hold them close to my heart as I interact with my clients and others. I was basically raised for this!
I know I'm on the right path when my clients tell me they can see authenticity shining through my business, even on social media. More so when I think through the list of absolutely incredible people I've met thanks to HKVA. I'm passionate about supporting my clients in the best way and the impact my services have on their businesses and on them as entrepreneurs!
